Description
Sencha is the most commonly grown green tea in Japan. Unlike other green teas, it is carefully steamed and unroasted to prevent fermentation. That is why the leaves retain their emerald color and their active ingredients.
Preparation:
Like all green tea, Sencha is brewed at a water temperature of 70 ° to 80° and should steep for 3-5 minutes. The longer the tea steeps the higher the caffeine content and the bitterer the tea.
